Following the off-the-beaten-track spirit, this 23 days trip combines the best of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Travellers explore the mountainous North of Vietnam, before heading to tranquil Laos. Last but not least a visit to the famous Angkor Wat temple complex and Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh will be included. And once again; an adventurous and flexible personality is essential for these trips, be prepared for home-stays, local food and bumpy roads!

Day 01 : Hanoi arrival

Day 02 : Hanoi - Duong Lam - Thay pagoda - Hanoi. Stroll by bicycle. Lunch in local house.

Day 03 : Hanoi - Lao Cai.  Hanoi city tour. Night train to Lao Cai.

Day 04 : Lao Cai – Sapa. Visit of adjacent areas to the old colonial station.

Day 05 : Sapa. Visit of local market and Muong Hoa' valley. Nigh t in local house.

Day 06 : Sapa –Tam Duong. Binh Lu and Tam Duong' Sunday markets. Visit of Tam Duong valley.

Day 07 : Tam Duong trekking. A full day of trekking  and visit of H'Mong, Man Tien, Lu and Dzao villages in the mountain.  

Day 08 : Tam Duong  -  Lao Cai, Night train to Hanoi. Small excursion in Ban Hon, Lü ethnic village.

Day 09 : Hanoi - Hoa Lu.   Discovery of ' the Halong Bay on land’

Day 10 : Hoa Lu - Ha Long. Cruise on board of junk. Night on board, private cabin.

Day 11 : Ha Long – Hanoi . visit the floating fishermen's village. Return to  Hanoi.

Day 12 : Hanoi – Vientiane. Flight to Vientiane. City tour in the afternoon.

Day 13 : Vientiane – Luang Prabang. Flight to Luang Prabang.  Visit of temples and adjacent area.

Day 14 : Luang Prabang. Excursion on boat. Visit of Pak Ou cave and local craft village.

Day 15 : Luang Prabang.  Kuangsi waterfall.

Day 16 : Luang Prabang – Siem Riep. Flight to Siem Reap. Visit of Roluos temple.

Day 17 : Siem Riep. AM: Angkor Thom temples.  PM: Angkor Wat temples.

Day 18 : Siem Riep. Kbal Spean & Banteay Srei

Day 19 : Siem Riep – Kompong Thom - Phnompenh.   Visit of Sambo Preikuk
Day 20 : Phnom Penh – Chau Doc. Visit of Phnom Penh. Boat to Chau Doc .

Day 21 : Chau Doc – Can Tho .  Chau Doc city tour. Departure to Can Tho

Day 22 : Can Tho – Saigon. Floating market of Cai Rang. Transfer to Saigon.

Day 23 : Saigon visit, departure.

Day 01 : Hanoi arrival

Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Hanoi is one of Asia's most charming cities, with romantic boulevards and colonial houses. The rest of the day is free for  exploration. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant and overnight at hotel.  


Day 02 : Hanoi - Duong Lam - Thay pagoda - Hanoi

Breakfast in hotel. All day to visit Hanoi surrounding, Duong Lam village and Thay pagoda. In the morning, departure to Duong Lam (60km - 2h from Hanoi). Arrive in Duong Lam, stroll by bicycle around the village and visit Mia pagoda, Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung King' temple. Lunch in local house. In the afternoon, on the road back to Hanoi, we will visit Thay pagoda - one of typical pagoda in Red River Delta and a pilgrimage of Vietnamese people. Arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon. In the evening: Water Puppet Show. Overnight in Hanoi.


Day 03 : Hanoi city tour, Night train to Lao Cai

Full day is spent on the visit to Hanoi - capital of Vietnam. In the morning, you will visit mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh President (close on Monday and Friday), and the One Pillar Pagoda, which is famous for the unique architect of Buddhism belief. Also the Literature Temple, "the first university in Vietnam", founded in 1076, the Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest of the country and the Quan Thanh Temple, founded between 1010 – 1225 are on the program. In the afternoon, we visit the Museum of Ethnology (closed on Monday), featuring a wonderful collection of art and objects from throughout the country and different tribes. Then, we make a cyclo tour (1h) through Hanoi’s Old Quarter and visit of Ngoc Son temple and Hoan Kiem lak. In the evening, we catch a train to Lao Cai. Night on train with soft berth.


Day 04 : Lao Cai arrival, transfer to Sapa

Arrival in lao Cai, at 05h30. Departure for Sapa (about 40km from Lao Cai). We can admire the picturesque landscape on route. In the afternoon, relax or walk to visit of adjacent areas to the old colonial station. Visit church and climb on Ham Rong mount. Overnight in hotel.


Day 05 : Sapa – Lao Chai - Ta Van

All day to visit of Muong Hoa' valley, Lao Chai and Ta Van village - domination of Back Mong tribe. Splendid terraced fields in your eyes. Overnight in local house.


Day 06 : Sapa –Tam Duong, Sunday market 

We leave for Phong Tho using the spectacular Hoang Lien Pass (2,500m). We stop at the Sunday markets of Binh Lu and Tam Duong where ethnic groups come to exchange their agricultural and handicraft goods. Upon arrival in the Tam Duong Valley we make a hike to a H’mong village. Overnight in hotel.


Day 07 : Tam Duong treking

Tam Duong is a frontier town, situated in a beautiful valley between limestone formations. This mountainous region is home to many tribes, including H'Mong, Man Tien, Lu and Dzao. A full day of trekking allows you to learn how self-sufficient life is in this area. Overnight in Tam Duong guest house.


Day 08 : Tam Duong - Lao Cai, Night train to Hanoi

On the road for Lao Cai, We make a stop on the way to visit the Lu tribe village of ‘Ban Hon’. The people here have a bizarre custom, they dye their teeth black! Having black teeth here is considered as a symbol of beauty. Arrive in Lao Cai, visit Sino - Vietnamese frontier and catch a train to Hanoi. Night on train with soft berth.


Da y 09 : Hanoi – Hoa Lu

Arrival in Hanoi railways station early morning. Pick up and transfer to city for breakfast and make a shower at a hotel. No room for day use. After breakfast we drive to Ninh Binh. Visit Phat Diem cathedral, harmonious coordination between pagoda's and temple's architecture. Transfer to Van Long, referred as ' the Halong Bay on land’. Then, go to the wharf by bicycle (about 2km) crossing a typical village with visit of a traditional house. Embark on small boat to discover the spectacular rice-field (about 2h). Overnight in Ninh Binh.


Day 10 : Hoa Lu - Halong 

Departure to Halong Bay via Thai Binh and Nam Dinh. Arrive in Bai Chay around noon. We embark our traditional wooden junk to discover this spectacular site. Halong Bay is a natural wonder, with numerous islands and lime-stones rising from the emerald water. Fresh seafood lunch and dinner are prepared by our cooks and served on board. Overnight on the junk.


Day 11. Ha Long - Hanoi

We visit the floating fishermen's village and continue to visit Ha Long Bay with numerous islands. Around noon, about 11h30, return to the port where we disembark and drive back to Hanoi in the afternoon. On the road, visit of But Thap pagoda. Overnight in hotel.


Day 12 : Hanoi – Vientiane

Free time until the transfer to the airport for a flight to Laos’ capital of Vientiane. Pick up by local guide and transfer to city. Check in at the hotel. In the afternoon we make a city tour to visit the highlights: Wat Sisaket, Wat Ho Prakeo temple, That Luang, Patouxay. Overnight at hotel.


Day 13 : Vientiane – Luang Prabang

We fly to Luang Prabang, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient royal city is surrounded by densely forested mountains and situated on the junction of the Mekong River and the Khan River. We visit Luang Prabang city in particularly: Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, Wat Xiengthong and Phousi Hill. Overnight in your hotel in Luang Prabang.


Day 14 : Luang Prabang - Pak Ou - Luang Prabang

By boat we sail to the Pak Ou cave. A stop is scheduled at Ban Muangkeo village, famous with its rice whisky, called Laoh-Khao. After lunch in a riverside restaurant we return to Luang Prabang to visit the village of Ban Xangkhong, specialized in silk production. Overnight in Luang Prabang.


Day 15 : Luang Prabang - Kuangsi - Luang Prabang

After breakfast we visit the Kuangsi waterfall. On the way a stop is scheduled to visit the Talad Phosy fruit market, the village of Ban Na Oune, inhabited by H’mongs, and the village of Ban Tha Pane, inhabited by Kh’mus. We return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon to discover the traditional H’mong market.


Day 16 : Luang Prabang – Siem Riep

We take a flight to Siem Reap, the gateway to the infamous Angkor Wat complex in Cambodia. Pick up and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, visit Rolous Group: Bakong, Lo Lie and Preah Ko Temple. Overnight at hotel.


Day 17 : Siem Riep

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple complex, Terrace of Elephant and Leper King, Phimean Akas. In the afternoon, transfer to visit Angkor Wat Temple the wonder of the world and in the evening enjoy watching sunset over the Bakheng Hill. Overnight at hotel.


Day 18 : Siem Riep

In the morning, departure to Kbal Spean (the River of 1000 lingas), was built between the 11th and 13th centuries. Kbal Spean is around 55km from Siem Reap. You join the site after 45 minutes of walk through the forest. Lunch in a local restaurant. Then, continue to Banteay Srei basically means “citadel of the women” and Banteay Srey has some of the best carvings of all the temples. Return to city and visit of Sras Srang "the Royal Bath ", Banteay Kdei. Overnight at hotel.


Day 19 : Siem Riep – Kompong Thom - Phnom Penh

Depart Siem Reap for Kampong Thom. En route, visit traditional villages and stop at the ancient Naga Bridge (Spean Pratpo), located 40 Km from Siem Reap. Arrive at Kampong Thom and lunch at local restaurant. Then, depart to visit of Sambor Prei Kuk, located 35km northeast of Kompong Thom. Continue on route to Phnom Penh, en route visit Wat Kohear Nokor (11th century). Arrive in Phnom Penh in late afternoon. Overnight at hotel.

Day 20 : Phnompenh – Chau Doc by speed boat

In the morning, visit the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda. Located within the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside include a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. Then continue to the notorious Tuol Sleng Museum (S 21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge. Time at leisure at the Russian Market (Psah Tuol Tom Poung). Lunch in a local restaurant. Then, take a speed boat to Chau Doc and arrival in late afternoon. Check in at the hotel. Overnight in Chau Doc.


Day 21 : Chau Doc – Can Tho

After breakfast we visit the Sam hill, the Xu Goddess temple, the Tay An pagoda, the Thoai Ngoc Hau grave. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then, transfer to Can Tho, arrival in late afternoon. Overnight in Can Tho.


Day 22 : Can Tho – Saigon

In the early morning we visit the floating market. This lively delta market is set in amazing scenery, a very good place to take photos. By rowboat we explore the canals, bypassing locals rowing up and down to the market. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Saigon.


Day 23 : Saigon - departure

Free time until we transfer you to the airport for your flight home or next destination. Check out time: 12:00
